Dr. Amy M. Brown, od
Dr. Brown is a Davis native and graduated from UC Davis in 1994 with a BS in exercise physiology. She went on to graduate from UC Berkeley School of Optometry in 1998. Her clinical training focused on keratoconus contact lens fittings, pediatric exams, diabetic ocular health evaluations, ocular pathology, cataract surgery co-management, and LASIK surgery co-management.
Dr. Brown joined Dr. Liebowitz at the County Fair Mall in 1998 and in 2000 they formed a partnership and moved the office to its current location in the Sycamore Pointe Plaza. In 2020 they changed the name of the practice to "Eyes of Woodland Optometry" to reflect our commitment to the community. Dr. Brown is an active member of the American Optometric Association and Sacramento Valley Optometric Society. Dr. Brown believes that the foundation of quality eyecare is a strong doctor-patient relationship. Her professional inspiration is to help her patients achieve their best visual potential and maintain excellent ocular health. |
When she is not in the office, Dr. Brown enjoys water skiing, horse back riding, and being with her family. She currently resides in Davis with her husband, Don, and two children.
DR. William l. Choi, OD
Dr. William L. Choi is a dedicated optometrist with a robust academic and professional background. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of California, Berkeley. Driven by a passion for eye care and a commitment to enhancing patient vision, he continued his education at UC Berkeley, obtaining his Doctor of Optometry degree.
During his optometric training, Dr. Choi completed diverse and enriching clinical rotations. He served at the Shiprock Navajo Reservation in New Mexico, where he provided essential eye care services to the Navajo community. Additionally, he gained valuable experience at the Atlanta Omni in Georgia, further honing his clinical skills in a dynamic urban setting. After several years of practicing in the vibrant San Francisco Bay Area, Dr. Choi relocated to the Sacramento metro area to be closer to his wife's family. This move has allowed him to balance his professional commitments with a fulfilling personal life. |
Outside of his professional endeavors, Dr. Choi finds entertainment in following changes in automotive technology, enjoys watching movies, and relishes exploring new culinary experiences. His diverse interests and dedication to his field make him a well-rounded individual and a compassionate healthcare provider.
Dr. Kali J. Leonard, OD
Dr. Leonard is originally from the Sacramento area. She graduated from San Diego State in 2002 and earned her doctorate in Optometry at Nova Southeastern University in Florida in 2005. Her clinical rotations included training in glaucoma treatment, pediatric care, cataract surgery co-management, and refractive surgery co-management.
Dr. Leonard strives to provide an engaging and comfortable environment where patients can freely discuss concerns about their vision and eye health. She enjoys working with both children and adults. She enjoys the fusion of fashion and vision that optometry offers. She is an active member of the American Optometric Association and Sacramento Valley Optometric Society. She enjoys spending time with her husband, son, family, and friends. |
